Abstract

Example is the main strength and key of education, and this has been proven and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad saw. A teacher does not just provide advice or guidance, but the teacher must have high integrity in his words and actions, the teacher's entire personality, from toe to hair must contain exemplary values, meaning that the teacher's personality must be able to be imitated or emulated by others. the student himself. Therefore, teachers must show exemplary behavior not only in the school environment, but also display their personality in the wider community. The purpose of this research is to determine the approach to exemplary values in improving student discipline at SMPN SATAP 2 Sojol Utara and to determine the methods used by teachers in responding to students who violate school regulations. The results of the research show that the exemplary values and advice conveyed by teachers at SMPN SATAP 2 Sojol Utara are very effective in disciplining students.
